8 Years and Going Strong – Congrats!

Published: July 31st, 2015 by Kim Anderson

8 years ago today BTOH became a legal non-profit (7/31/2007) and we have helped around 600 families directly. We are so proud that we continue to achieve our mission and our goal of Helping Other People Everyday -HOPE…We could not do any of what we do without the support of our family, our board of directors, volunteers, donors and supporters – so thank you to everyone who is part of our BTOH family. You can pat yourselves on the back as you are right there with us as we help everyone that we meet along the way. B.L.A.I.R. Believe, Love, Admire, Inspire and Rejuvinate

The 4tBTOH_5KFIN (1)h annual Blair’s Balloons for Hope 5K takes place on a scenic, loop course through Bunker Hills Regional Park. Participants receive a helium-filled balloon on which they may write a wish, prayer, favorite quote, a drawing, or can leave blank if they so wish! With their balloon in hand (or pinned/tied on), participants will start on the north end of the park and continue through rolling, wooded trails, crossing over the serene Bunker Lake, natural grasslands, bypassing Bunker Beach and wave pool, and more! A great mix of sun and shade for a comfortable run or walk! There are a couple small hills and a few curves throughout the course. You finish the race coming downhill past Veterans Memorial and through the celebratory balloon arch! Upon completion of the race, each participant may add any final wishes to their event balloon and place under the balloon release net.  Post race refreshments and live DJ will be there to motivate you across the finish line!! The event also includes pre-race refreshments, FREE t-shirt, finishers medal, chip timing, and USATF course sanctioning. The Blair’s Balloons for Hope 5K is about bringing friends and families together to promote health and support local families and children in need! 100% of the proceeds will go to Blair’s Tree of Hope; a 501c3 non-profit organization that supports families who have a child who has been hospitalized with a life-threatening illness. The event and organization are 100% volunteer-operated. To get involved please contact us at BTOH5K@Gmail.com. We thank you for your support!!
