As we reflect on 2014 the first thing that comes to mind is how many wonderful people supported our goals and mission of helping families who have children going through a very tough pediatric cancer, blood disorder and bone marrow transplant journey…  On behalf of the families and their children, our board members, our family and lastly Blair – Thank you for your donations, your time and your support we could not have done any of it without each of you.   Our very best to you and yours for a wonderful 2015.

7th Annual Thanksgiving Meal served at the U of MN Masonic Children’s Hospital

Published: November 27th, 2014 by Kim Anderson

From Chris And Joe Gottlieb 10/16/2014:

“We are getting close to our daughter’s one year anniversary of her open heart surgery and subsequent complications for a 22 day hospital stay at Amplatz. We held our Abby for the first time on Thanksgiving Day after surgery. For 3 days after surgery we did not know if we’d ever hold her again. We are very blessed people to have had such great care at Amplatz, and we were so thankful for your organization’s gift of a real Thanksgiving Dinner after such a traumatic week. To give their personal time and effort just to help us meant so much”.

Blair’ Tree of Hope has been blessed to be given the opportunity to join forces with many wonderful people to serve a delicious Thanksgiving Meal to the families and Staff of University of Minnesota Masonic Childrens Hospital. It is such an honor to help these courageous families have just a small amount of “normalcy” during such a trying time in their lives.

This year will be no different. With the help of the Amazing Jim Wagner of Wagners Drive in, who along with his volunteers makes all of the delicious food, we plan on feeding many families an amazing and traditional Thanksgiving Meal. After the meal, a delicious array of desserts will be served courtesy of Heidi Kaliher, our amazing friend and baker.

There are so many others that help us to keep HOPE alive. Deb Wingert and her crew, Colleen & Cathy Mahoney, Mary Kay & Kevin Myrmel and Kim and Tom Anderson for making sure the meal is served with grace and beauty. Harrison Electric and many others for helping to sponsor this event with cash donations. Without them we would be unable to continue our mission of Helping Other People Everyday.

Finally, to Chris, Joe & Abby Gottlieb – You are what makes us strive as a foundation to continue to do everything we can to help families during this tough time in their lives. We promise that our families will ALWAYS be our first and most important priority.

To anyone else who has touched the Blair’s Tree of Hope organization, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are nothing without all of you amazing people.

During this Holiday season we take time to think of our many blessings. You are all considered among them. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!Abby 2013 Abby 2014

Looking for a way to help out but are not able to make a monetary donation come join us at our quarterly  sewing event held at our Sponsor facility the Four Seasons Quilts, 9708 63rd Avenue North, Maple Grove, MN – owner Joann.  Thank you so much for the use of your facility we are able to bring together 12-15 people to design, cut, sew, iron some of the most beautiful pillowcases and chemo bags.  Time is 12:00 (noon) to 5p.m.  We have people come who love to iron but don’t sew, we have those those love to sew but don’t like to iron, others have the eye to put patterns together.  We meet new people every quarter and are able to share our goals and mission with them.  Great fellowship event.
